Youth athletes have increased, and very specific nutritional demands compared to non-athletic teens of the same age. With this in mind, our SENr registered sport nutritionist will work with youth athletes and their parents to improve all aspects of their diet and nutrition. Our 1-2-1 coaching session will provide athletes with a bespoke nutrition plan tailored specific to their sport and needs and will guarantee to:
Maximise training adaptations
Reduce the risk of injury and illness
Take your sport to the next level and give you an edge over competitors
Athletes and their parents will work closely with our performance nutritionist to comprehensively asses their diet, goals, training and lifestyle. They will then be provided with an individualised meal plan and educational resources designed to optimise training, competition, performance and recovery as well ensuring optimal growth, development health. The plan will cover all aspects of nutrition from everyday basics through to game and training specific fuelling, and hydration.
The initial consultation is designed to get to know athletes and their individual needs so that we can optimise their nutrition to match training demands and maximise performance. We will use this time to get an in depth understanding of their training schedule performance goals, lifestyle and current dietary patterns.
This will include:
Comprehensive dietary analysis and feedback on individual 5-day food diary. Alongside goals and training schedules, this information will then be used to formulate bespoke meal plans, including appropriate timings for training and rest day routines.
Personalised Meal Plan
Tailored 7-day meal plan suited to athlete’s food preferences will be provided. This will be periodised according to specific training demands of each day and will be designed to enhance fuelling, refuelling and health.
Athletes will be provided with a resource package which will provide information on the fundamentals of nutrition which underpin performance and provide them with the tools to implement and optimise their own nutritional strategies going forward.
Follow up sessions are recommended to review progress, make any necessary amendments to the plan or to provide further guidance. It is recommended that follow up sessions are scheduled in for 4 weeks after athletes receive their plan, allowing them plenty of time to get to grips it.

Not only does this incredible young man play football for England’s CP Emerging Talent Programme and Norwich City DPDC, but he also swims at for the City of Norwich Swimming Club‘s Regional Squad, and gained a National Youth Para-Swimming place within the Swim England programme. He tagged us in this wonderful picture, just before heading off to Lanzarote for a intense swim camp. We’re super happy to be adding value to such a busy and hard working youth athlete.
